To complete our Year 5/6 pupils’ work on Nepal, a small group have planned and produced the collage below. They worked from a photograph of Kumudini Homes School; one of the schools visited by Mrs Slack, Mr Cooper and Miss Ryman in February 2009. Maybe pupils from Kumundini Homes will produce some art work about St. Philip’s in the future…
Year 6, Class 11, made Egyptian amulets out of clay. We sprayed them gold or silver and decorated them with jewels. We think that they look impressive!
As mentioned last week, pupils from Year 5/6 are currently learning about the life and culture of Nepal. A group of girls have studied Nepalese dance and have choreographed a dance which bridges the gap between East and West. Pupils from the Kumidini Homes school in Pokhara are enjoying the work from this project as we speak via this page!
