Today, 14th July 2011, Mrs Slack retires as Head teacher of St. Philip’s RC. There have been many presentations, presents and speeches (and a few tears!). The following short film has been made by Class 10, Mr Cooper’s class. We hope it goes someway to documenting Mrs Slack’s time at St. Philip’s RC.
Class 6 have been enjoying looking back at old photos taken throughout the year. We have been reminiscing about all the fun activities we have done, our happy moments and our fabulous class mates. We have been working in pairs to create short movie clips to document our memories of this year. Here is an example of just one of the many movies we created…
On 29th June 2011, Mrs Slack kindly arranged for all pupils to participate in a special day to help celebrate her retirement. Pupils learnt about and watched a wild bird demonstration, a circus skills group entertained and taught the children whilst older pupils also built fairground rides. As an added bonus, pupils were allowed a free visit to an ice cream van. What a fantastic day – thank you Mrs Slack!
