Pupils in Classes 11 and 12 have been completing homework based around WWII. They could choose from a variety of different tasks. In the video below, a pupil from Class 11 demonstrates her considerable baking skills whilst following a WWII recipe. It was delicious!
This week, in Literacy, Class 5 have been learning all about instructions. They made fruit kebabs and have also written a set of instructions so that you can make your very own fruit kebabs at home. Take a peek at their cookery show. Enjoy!
On the 7th November, a group of pupils from Year 6 led a bake sale in order to raise money for Children in Need. The group planned and advertised the event themselves, as well as doing their own baking, sales and accounting. In total they raised a fantastic £114! The letter below accompanied the cheque posted to the charity.
Pupils in Classes K and L have been participating in cooking and woodwork classes so far this term. The pupils have greatly enjoyed their experiences to date. Mr Cooper’s class are designing and constructing bird boxes whilst Mrs Cookson’s are undertaking a cooking or baking challenge each week; so far they have made pizzas, brownies and scones…
In preparation for Christmas, pupils in Classes K and L have been baking this week with Mrs Cookson. In groups, they weighed their ingredients, mixed them together and cut shapes to create gingerbread cookies. They were yummy!
