The weather is glorious here in North Wales and the children are all having a fantastic time together. We arrived in time for lunch yesterday and have already worked on team-working activities, orienteering and ‘low rope exercises’. This morning we used our map reading skills to¬†climb a mountain, eating our packed lunch whilst enjoying views over Snowdonia.

Egg-cellent Effort

Pupils from KS1 and KS2 have taken part in an ‘cracking’ competition – designing ‘egg-cellent’ Easter eggs. The competition was no ‘yolk’! Below are some pictures of the fantastic entries, as well as a group photograph of the winning designs.

French Day 2012

On Tuesday 12th March, we held our annual French Day at St. Philip’s. Pupils from all classes from the Nursery up to Year 6 sampled French cuisine, learnt French songs and designed portraits in the style of the local street artists. Keep an eye on this post as more photographs and videos will be added to it!

Summer Treat Day

On 29th June 2011, Mrs Slack kindly arranged for all pupils to participate in a special day to help celebrate her retirement. Pupils learnt about and watched a wild bird demonstration, a circus skills group entertained and taught the children whilst older pupils also built fairground rides. As an added bonus, pupils were allowed a free visit to an ice cream van. What a fantastic day – thank you Mrs Slack!
