Top of the Class…

Things just keep on getting better and better for Year 5 pupil Finlay Dunne. The gymnast finished second in the National Elite Grades event in Birmingham earlier this month and is now rated as one of the top two Level One juniors in Great Britain. Finlay also represented the North West team who won the gold medal at the event. All of the pupils and staff at St. Philips wish Finlay the best of luck as he continues along the path to stardom…

Future Olympian?

Finlay Dunne, Year 5, has been crowned the Level One Elite Gymnastics Champion of Great Britain!

Finlay attends Bury Gymnastics Club and trains very hard – 6 days a week for around 23 hours.

In June 2013 Finlay won the Piper’s Vale Challenge beating 59 other boys up to 10 years old. He was then only 8. He has just competed against 29 elite gymnasts from around Great Britain in the London Open and took the title of Level One Elite Champion.

Everyone at St. Philip’s is incredibly proud of Finlay’s achievements and wishes him the best of luck in future competitions!
