To complete our Year 5/6 pupils’ work on Nepal, a small group have planned and produced the collage below. They worked from a photograph of Kumudini Homes School; one of the schools visited by Mrs Slack, Mr Cooper and Miss Ryman in February 2009. Maybe pupils from Kumundini Homes will produce some art work about St. Philip’s in the future…
As mentioned last week, pupils from Year 5/6 are currently learning about the life and culture of Nepal. A group of girls have studied Nepalese dance and have choreographed a dance which bridges the gap between East and West. Pupils from the Kumidini Homes school in Pokhara are enjoying the work from this project as we speak via this page!
As part of our school’s dedication to creating links with schools in different cultures, several Year 5 and 6 pupils have been learning about life in Nepal. In small groups they have created pieces of work to highlight their findings on the wonderful country. Above is a watercolour painting of the Himalayas, created by Oliver Curwen-Jones.
