Last Friday, on 14th October 2016, a group of our KS2 pupils ventured into Manchester to welcome the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to our city. They were fortunate enough to get to the front of the crowd;the rest is history! Enjoy reliving this unique, once-in-a-lifetime experience which our pupils were so grateful to receive. Thank you to Miss Lavelle, Miss McNamara and Mrs Aldred for taking the pupils…
The following video has been made Class 4 and Class 8 but features guest appearances from pupils (and adults!) from the whole school…
Happy St.Patrick’s Day! Over the last few weeks, Miss McNamara’s seven year old niece, Kate McNamara, has been teaching Class 4 how to say Irish phrases over a video link from Dublin. This was part of a competition to teach as many people as she could Irish phrases. Kate won the competition and her teachers were so impressed with her efforts that the media got in touch and asked if they could show her video clip teaching Class 4 on the Irish news. Class 4 are elated to have starred on the Irish news and according to them, they are “famous”! Have a peek at the video below to see some snippets of the video links and the news clip. The link to the actual news clip is: http://trte.rte.ie/news2day/ Enjoy! 🍀🍀🍀

As we all know, Sunday 14th February is St. Valentine’s Day. On Friday, pupils from Year 1, Miss McNamara’s class, led an assembly where they explained to pupils how love is the key message of the Gospel. Have you ever wondered what learning is like for a pupil in the Nursery? Well wonder no longer! Have a look at the fantastic video below, created by Miss McNamara.
The weather is glorious here in North Wales and the children are all having a fantastic time together. We arrived in time for lunch yesterday and have already worked on team-working activities, orienteering and ‘low rope exercises’. This morning we used our map reading skills to climb a mountain, eating our packed lunch whilst enjoying views over Snowdonia.
Nursery pupils have been learning all about Spring. They have used digital cameras to photograph some of the beautiful flowers and plants which are growing in our school grounds. Click on the Microsoft Powerpoint link below to enjoy some of their wonderful work!
